Recalibrated the wonky floppy disk drive with the oscilloscope and lots of patience and I got to a point where the vast majority of disks I try boot flawlessly! I call that a win. Some disks still don’t work but I guess that’s mostly down to the disks being written on marginally aligned drives previously.
