someone gave me a non functioning m.2 ssd which was labeled as 512GB in size. They said they couldn't get a computer to even boot to bios.
20 minutes and sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda status=progress bs=4M and I'm now running a fresh install of void linux on it ;-)
