  1. 🤦‍♂️ Ah, DIDs—because what the world truly needs is yet *another* identity system we can #overhype and underutilize. So we're all set to revolutionize the web with #DIDs, but oops, turns out we just needed a good ol' login form. 🚀🔧

  2. Started laying out a rough plan for implementing FEP-ef61: Portable Objects in #Fedify—server-independent #ActivityPub identities backed by #DIDs, multi-server replication, and client-side signing. It's going to be a long road (13 tasks across 5 phases, with a few open questions that need answering before we even begin), but I think it's worth doing right.

  3. And now @cypherhippie has a lightning talk about bringing #DIDs to the fediverse

  4. I got interested in the state of #DIDs and found `did:snail` and I *love* it: xn--3n8h.amy.gy/

  5. Own your identity, own your data!

DScan v4.0 leverages Web3Storage's w3up-client, incorporating #DIDs and #UCAN to create a robust framework for decentralized authentication and authorization.

DScan is the fastest way to store and share data over #IPFS directly from browsers.

Self Sovereign Internet idea of Phil Windley

The Internet was born without identity and permission layer as same as persistence. So and blockchains try to solve this in their way. What could offer here?

We lift transport protocols like to give standard messaging protocols that have security and identity based on

Instead of IPs we use peer-to-peer dids for every interaction with others via encrypted messages

there is one more interesting blockchain, #credentia credentia.io/?lang=en , it is based on #DIDs (Decentralized Identifiers). Not sure if they are #passwordless , but it looks more robust then #keybase

  9. @trwnh
Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) I'm curious about. Happy to see that evolve.
All I can say on the matter between #DIDs and how zot does it, that @cwebber and dev of zot @macgirvin have a different perspective on how to solve the mentioned isse.

I have way to little knowledge to make a judge about.
