  1. I sometimes have a problem with Firefox wherein it will refuse to open links from Thunderbird. It keeps asking me if I wish to refresh Firefox or run it in troubleshoot mode. This happens in both Windows 7 and 11, and once it starts, it won't open any links until I choose an option. I find this to be very annoying. I would like to make a portable version my ddefault broswer so that, when this starts, I can simply swap it with a working version instead of having to refresh, etc. How can I do this in Windows 7? I know it has to do with the registry, and I thought there was a premade script for it where all I would need to do would be to enter the location of the browser for it to work, but I can't find said script. Any help would be appreciated. Note: this could also be done with Supermium, thereby eliminating my issue with the inaccessible installer in the full version. Hence my accessibility and blind tags.

  5. En Linux, si queréis cambiar la aplicación que abre los archivos de una determinada extensión utilizando la terminal, lo más sencillo es utilizar `mimeopen`. Por ejemplo, para elegir la aplicación que abrirá los pdf por defecto:

    ```
    mimeopen -d .pdf
    ```

    A continuación solo hay que elegir la aplicación que queremos usar por defecto.

    #linux #mime #mimeopen #defaultprograms #terminal
