#DeathRattleCapitalism is always pushing us to purchase, purchase, purchase, never taking time to pause and enjoy what we have.

For our end of year #holidays, I'm going to focus on something different. I intend to #NormalizeNostalgia. Feel free to #JoinIn if you would like to participate. 1/

* I'm frustrated.
* I'm lonely.
* I'm desperate.
* I'm mourning the death of my mother.
* I don't feel like I fit in anywhere.
* I'm fed up with national politics.
* I'm having a faith crisis.
* I'm having a panic attack.
* I just want it all to stop.

If your answer to all of these is "here, BUY MORE STUFF" you are not my friend. #capitalism #specifically #DeathRattleCapitalism

Those flashy blue lights on poles in parking lots definitely send a message, don't they?

The message being: SHOPPERS, DO YOUR BUSINESS AND GTFO. EVERYONE ELSE, JUST GTFO. #DeathRattleCapitalism

@georgetakei Not only is Pillock, err, Pilnick drastically out of touch with his "let them eat flakes" comments, he's displaying the #DeathRattleCapitalism pattern of having stripped away every human trait in the interest of becoming a pure moneymaking machine.

#Libertarian view of #capitalism :
You have 50¢ and want a pencil. Someone else has a pencil and wants 50¢. You trade and are both happy.

Actual #DeathRattleCapitalism :
You have 50¢ and want a pencil. A corporation sells you a pencil for 50¢ which you later found out cost them .5¢ to make, is covered in radioactive paint & contains forever chemicals. The corporation knew exactly what it was selling & you want your 50¢ back, but CAVEAT EMPTOR BABY! SUCK IT, POORS! moneymoneymoney *kisskisskiss*

I've seen phrases such as #PeakCapitalism, #LateStageCapitalism and #EndStageCapitalism bandied about, and while these are all right as far as they go, they don't fully express what nakedly capitalistic behaviors are doing to the common person.

I thus humbly submit the phrase #DeathRattleCapitalism, where multinational corporations and their C-suite "lords of the earth" ride profits out into the wasteland of oblivion for everyone else.
