I’ve been reading through #Deastar’s works and found this series I absolutely loved: Story of Lianhua Palace.
It’s a harem story with a twist: Lan Wangji is an imperial guard; Wei Ying is the palace eunuch who’s more than he seems.
Featuring palace intrigue, declarations of love and frank conversations about what their relationship might look like, Empress Yanli, fluff, and a golden-core-sacrifice analogue that I *now* feel I should have seen any number of times, because that’s how innovation works. ;)
