"She's blind. I'm blindfolded. We're going to fly a plane"
On this episode of Tom Scott Plus, Lucy Edwards shared some of her experiences as a #blind person with a blindfolded Tom Scott as they do in-flight exercises that involve turning the plane, keeping it level, and maintaining course.
Together with a flight instructor for Aerobility, they take to the skies in a plane, both relying on their other senses and the guidance and instructions of the flight instructor.
#Accessibility-wise this episode probably is a good example of how to do video content, particularly on #YouTube.
It comes with positional #ClosedCaptions, and a feature I wasn't aware YouTube actually had (at least on supported devices): an additional audio track with audio descriptions of what is happening in the video, both of which were provided by the Described and Captioned Media Program.
