Half term so the girls and I headed north across the Fens and along a drove (sat nav madness) to Fens Falconry where we spent a very lovely evening learning about their owls and watching them fly.

Visit #ShirleyBC - between #Sooke & #PortRenfrew & stop at #MuirBeach 👍Walk along beach until you reach the #fossils 😊 There's lots of shell, fish & other animal fossils visible here & more if you bushwack along the river(trails are all overgrown, bring a machete). There's also resident otters that live here & it's fab for birdwatching too.

#PortRenfrew #dock & marina. There's a pub & rental cabins on site. Great crabbing & shrimping area. You can catch from the dock with traps, very long rope & saltwater license.

After the Stockenträffen in Orust, Sweden, Wendy and I went to Göteborg with Sara and Johan from Escape Kayak Centre. Wendy has agreed to do her Newfoundland presentation at Escape on Tuesday evening, so we had two whole days there. Dubside who had been touring southern Sweden with Escape in the weeks up to the Stockenträffen, was still there for a few rolling classes.
