I have started watching the 1980s Spanish cartoon «David el Gnomo». This frame is typical of the show so far. It's fantastic, although you need to watch the original Spanish version to see the atomic blast in the opening scene.

In an effort to embrace nostalgia because I couldn't find a reasonably priced The World of David the Gnome DVD set; I happened to stumble upon the Internet Archive's zip of all 26 episodes.
As a child, I was held hostage (in a good way) by this magical world. It holds a special place in my heart and had a big impact on how I portray supernatural beings; as distinct individuals who may be reasoned with or tricked, instead of just slain, at least when possible.
