I am back after a small break while focusing hard on the launch of my new pinball game (https://ianharrowergames.com/BirdWatcher/).
I wanted to try to get in the habit again. I also bought a pen display, which some think is silly for #pixelart, but I really like it so far.
This is actually some concept art for my #playdate game from PlayJam4 (Time Flies Like An Arrow) which I think I am going to develop to a full game. I will not advertise this hard in the future.

#Daily1bit Day24.
After a long break for D82 Super Series (Pinball), I am slowly back and picking up daily 1 bit again. I feel like I have done something like this before, but wanted to do it again (because of the launch of Walkabout Mini Gold Widows Walkabout).

This is kind of a Cars like style. All 3 tires are shaded differently so it doesn't really work. I can't decide which looks best :) I really like the 96px size. But I really need to push and do smaller.

Today, I was playing around with dithering. Here is me vs algorithmic dithering on the same reference. I didn't try the auto dithering until I was finished.
I am actually pretty happy with mine. There are a couple of really nice areas in the auto one, but I like my definition and shape edges.

Back from vacation and catching up on my #septembit progress. I really struggled with a few of these, but overall all I am pretty happy. One more to go, but not sure what I want to do yet :)

Today we visited Endeavor at the LA science Center. I was incredible to see the shuttle in person. It really puts the feat of engineering into perspective. Enjoy it in all its #1bit glory. #pixelart

As is probably reasonably obvious, I usually trace references (I joke that it is rotoscoping not tracing). But today, I drew this from sight, no tracing. I am happy with how it came out.

Today I decided to do a cliché moonrise over a mountain lake landscape, at full 400x240 #playdate resolution. It was a bit of a mistake because this took me a very long time.
I wanted to play around with dithering. I would probably fine tune things a bit if this was not just for playing around, but I am happy. #1bit
