Joo, tuo ajatus että pitäisi osata jotta voisi mennä tunneille on ihan hassu, mutta vaikea siitä on päästä yli. On erittäin tuttu tunne...

CVT:llä on sikäli erityinen suhtautuminen tähän että sen kehittäjä Catherine Sadolin oli itse laulutaidottomaksi luokiteltu, mutta luovuttamisen sijaan hänpä suivaantui ja omisti elämänsä laulun anatomian ja tekniikan tutkimiselle ja sitten sen opettamiseen. Ei tartte osata ennestään yhtikäs mitään.

CVT:n opit löytyy muuten sekä kirjana että tutkimuksen myötä päivittyvänä mobiiliappina, mutta se on enempi referenssiteos kuin "näin opit laulamaan" opas. Itse ostin kirjan joku vuosi sitten kun innostuin itseopiskelun mahdollisuudesta, mutta oikeasti ne jutut alkoi vasta laulutunnilla aukeamaan, eli yksinään en aloitusoppaaksi en sitä suosittele. Tuosta Nuotin vierellä kirjasta ei ole kokemusta, mutta kuvauksen perusteella esimerkkinä on suomalaisia kansanlauluja, niin se ei kyllä omalle kohdalle olis sitä mitä haetaan 😅 CVT:hän siis kattaa ihan kaiken äänenkäytön klasarista deathmetal-örinään.

Mikrofoniahan ei laulun opetteluun tartte, siitä on melkein enemmän haittaa kun vääristää äänenvoimakkuutta yms. Ei tartte edes karaokeen ellei sitten ole niin iso tila että oikeasti äänentoiston. Toki se on ikäänkuin turva siinä että mitä hittoa niillä käsillä tekee, mut meillä jäi aikalailla mikki pois käytöstä laulutuntien jälkeen, se alkoi päinvastoin lähinnä häiritsemään.

P.S. Sori jos kuulostan CVT:n nettimyyjältä - ei ole mitään kaupallisia kytköksiä siihen suuntaan, olen vain ja ainoastaan erittäin tyytyväinen "asiakas".

Tuolla taustoituksella voi hyvin todeta että kyllä, ehdottomasti voi! On olemassa harvinaisia sairauksia jotka laulamisen estää, mutta jos sävelkorkeuksia erottaa ja pystyy normaalisti ääntä tuottamaan niin ei sillon ole esteitä.

Laulaminen on kehon koordinointia siinä kuin vaikkapa liikuntalaji tai piirtäminen, mutta siinä ei olekaan kyse esim. käsien ja silmien näkyvästä koordinaatiosta vaan korvien ja paljolti näkymättömien kurkunpään lihasten koordinaatiosta. Ja ihan niinkuin muidenkin taitojen kanssa, joku löytää sen yhteyden omia aikojaan, toisten täytyy tehdä enemmän töitä. Käytännössä kaikki kuitenkin osaa esim. äänenkorkeutta muuttaa ilman sen kummempaa treenaamista, sovittuun ääneen osuminen on se "vaikeus".

Iso osa koettuja lauluongelmia on henkisen puolen juttuja: just noita "laulukoe luokan edessä" tyyppisiä traumoja, laitetaan tekemään asiaa jota ei ole koskaan edes yritetty ensin opettaa ja sitten nöyryytetään julkisesti jos se ei nyt ihan justiinsa mennyt.

Jos kerran laulaminen on kivaa mutta olis vielä kivempaa jos osais paremmin, niin parhaiten siitä pääsee eteenpäin käymällä vaikka vaan muutamalla laulutunnilla. Laulamiseen liittyy kauhea määrä mystiikkaa, taikauskoa, väärää tietoa ja muuta huuhaata. CVT on tutkimukseen ja tietoon perustuva metodi, ja sen opettajat on sertifioituja niin että kokemus on kutakuinkin sama kaikille: https://completevocaltechnique.fi/tekniikka/ Isommista kaupungeista löytyy opettajia, esim. Tampereelta useampikin. Ja siis laulutunnit ei tarkota sitä että sitoudutaan kymmenvuotiseen kerta viikkoon ohjelmaan, niitä voi käydä ihan oman tarpeen mukaan.

Mulla on itsellä hyvin samanlainen tausta, olen pienestä kuullut kun joku soittaa pieleen mutta laulaa en ole osannut (tuomio just ala-asteen laulukokeesta luokan edessä). Teininä opettelin bänditouhujen innoittamana itsekseni äänen korkeuden hakemista ja sen verran opinkin että omiin biiseihin pystyi jonkunlaiset vokaalit tekemään, mutta huteraksi se taito jäi. Kotikaraoke löydettiin @hannamorre :n kanssa ja sitä on välillä enemmän, välillä vähemmän harrastettu reilu 15v. Tämän vuoden tammikuussa @hannamorre kävi muutamalla CVT-laulutunnilla Jyväskylässä ja sitä kautta minä uskaltauduin kokeeksi mukaan. Kävinköhän neljällä vai viidellä tunnilla kevään mittaan, niitä oppeja kotona satunnaisesti inspiraation mukaan treenaillen on äänialaa auennut reilu puoli oktaavia lisää, lauluun on tullut ihan toisenlainen varmuus jne. Varmastikin käyn vielä lisäoppia saamassa, mutta tällä hetkellä on vielä paljon omaksuttavaa entisissäkin opeissa.

Yes, yes, I know the manual trans is NOT a #CVT, but #Subaru managed to make a manual transmission that is SOMEHOW even worse than a CVT, and that is an achievement unto itself.

It's been about 20yrs since Subaru made a transmission worthy of that name.

At this point, they might start to consider outsourcing the job.

Already in mass production is #Enviolo: https://enviolo.com/products/ — It's a #CVT, though. Actually it's the only one I can imagine for me to work: It keeps a static cadence. (I hate automatic transmissions in cars. They never shift when I would.)

The referred #CeramicSpeed is also one I was aware of.

Last one was similar to the Mercer's, but with belt + more conventional looking. Can't find it anymore.
