I have lost all patience with "content creators". If you are going to promote a topic then stick to it. I don't need to know the back story of when you bought your first computer when I've been promised information about an app replacement. Headlines should be a summary of an article's content not just a way to get people to click.
If you write recipes, just give me the recipe. I don't need the 3 page description of you going shopping for the ingredients or the litany of tweaks made across generations as a recipe was handed down.

There's a shave soap I've been using for decades. I bought a case of 12 pucks back in 2020 and just finished my last one. Time to order another case. Except, turns out they discontinued it back in 2022. It's a trivial thing but I'm really going to miss it.

Just told an old friend (via text) that no, I don't have time for lunch this weekend (an easier excuse than bringing up covid caution) and no, we don't need a phone call so I can hear all about the (covid-unsafe) cruise he just took.
Do I feel a little bad for being antisocial? Maybe. But not as annoyed & frustrated I'd feel if I went through with either event solely out of social obligation.
Gotta set boundaries for my own mental health.

I am the worst person for marketing ever. Mastodon is my main social media app. I get my news from public radio & RSS feeds. I don’t watch videos unless I have to.
Every so often a friend sends me a link to some Instagram or TikTok thing & I probably spend more time looking for an alternative source for the info than it would take to just endure the stupid linked video.
