I set up the Sceptre of Min today to record the voice of the goddess #Hathor. I made offerings and solemnly asked for guidance. I made sure the recording apparatus was running at the solar zenith here. The device is a crystal powered antenna. The goddess gave me the design in a recent trance. I hope there is a message on the recording. I'll report if there's anything there.

I saw two posts today on the melted stairs at Dendara Temple and I got a chill thinking of the goddess #Hathor sashaying down those steps wearing a beautiful red dress and a big sexy smile. Praise Hathor and The Eyes of Ra!

I had a trance over the winter and the contents were instructions on how to build a kind of wand. The materials and form were specified by the #goddess. Today that device was constructed. It has ceremonial as well as practical uses. It is a kind of antenna that channels the voices of the dead. It is also a will bending tool, and you know, something to help an old guy out. Praise #Hathor ! Thanks to the #goddess for sharing the arcane knowledge with me. It is called the Sceptre of Min. Min is her pet name for me. I can't wait to try it out!

It strikes me how the Alchemical work is so much like just breaking something apart and rebuilding it better than it was.

CW: Politics and Tranformation
A significant part of my alchemical transformation has been in the political realm. I firmly believe the goddess energy led me away from libertarianism to anarcho syndicalism. She wanted me to become immersed in the needs of others and to act on their behalf as well as my own. She directs me to evaluate others and their political stances using #goddess values. The practical difference is that nobody is going to make a serious sacrifice to advance selfish libertarianism. But I'd gladly sacrifice everything and anyone to please the goddess. I am now politically effective. That, my friends, is alchemical gold.

I just got done with a re-read of the Kemetic "Book Of The Dead" or "Book Of Coming Forth In The Day" and chapters 17 and 18 certainly have deep occult qualities. I look forward to really digging into those next time I pick it up!
Of course this phrase really stuck with me-
"My eyes are the eyes of #Hathor."
Praise the Eyes of Ra goddesses!
Happy New Year!

I'm putting together some components to make a new device. One of the last vivid trances I had a couple months ago ended with me receiving from #Hathor the design of a magic wand of sorts. But I gather from subtle contexts that it is a kind of antenna. It's based on some of the same principles as my Alchemical apparatus but it's not an electrical device like that one. This object will be fully portable. I have a few more items to acquire then the construction should be fairly simple. When it's complete I should be able to hear some kind of "voices".

When I integrated my philosophical meditations on 18th century Positivism with my practice of Kemetic style Alchemy the maxim known as the Absolute became Khepri the beetle god - the uncreated one. The new rising sun.
The term maxim is basically a place holder for something (?) beyond relation, including any kind of description.
Khepri, as a dung beetle, is distant and alien to an extreme when compared with humanity. It also may be that since the dung beetles eggs were too small to be observed by the ancients directly, it seemed like the young emerged directly from the dung - uncreated.
That said-I hope all my occult friends create a wonderful evening!

There's an Alchemical principle- “Solve et Coagula"- that describes the overall transformation process. In order to build anew the old must be broken down. The symbolism of death is often used to convey “solve" and the sex act to convey “coagula". The basic idea seems to me to be first, an analysis. Looking into the parts and aspects of things including ourselves. Trying to figure out how things work and what makes things different or similar. This is kind of a philosophical and scientific attitude. To know and to know one's self. It's no coincidence that this is also experienced as the release of the soul from the body. You wouldn't poke and prod a body with a soul in it or cut it to pieces to see how it ticks.
Alright, now the toaster is in a million parts on the kitchen table. Now what?
It's “coagula" time. Before you reassemble it you see a YouTube video on how to convert your toaster into an air fryer. Sounds great! Let's go! There's no point in putting a thing back together the same as it was. That would mean “solve" was a waste of time.
When it comes to putting yourself together after a thorough self examination the body and soul are ready for a new and improved unity. A synthesis. As opposed to a scientific attitude this is an act of Will.
But considering the toaster analogy- where are the spare parts needed to convert the old toaster into an air fryer?
To reunite a person in “coagula" there needs to be an infusion of Spirit. Spirit is Light. Spirit is Water. Spirit as in the universal life force, world soul or something like that. During “solve" the soul and Spirit can mingle.
“Coagula" is a fusion that takes it's energy from the force of Heat. Once the Spirit is joined to the soul through the cosmic “getting it on" the intense fire of the Ego, that longs to join in, is called into play. The Sulphurous fire fuses the “new" soul with the body so that it's earthbound individuality can share in the Universal Light.
Solve et Coagula!
-is symbolized in Alchemy by Mercurius, the catalyst, the principle of Change. Both light and heat. Fire and water. Mercury and Sulphur. God and Goddess.

I've recently been reminded of the extreme tension between 3 and 4.

The main difference between Alchemy and other mystical practices is the open embrace of the Material as both the starting and end point of Spiritual transformation. The soul is incomplete without the body. Our spiritual journey takes us up into the heavens to join with the universal and eternal currents there. But the journey is consummated by the return of this newly enriched soul into the waiting body- transforming the body. And this can be done over and over!
(symbolized by the hermetically sealed retort, or flask. The material inside volatilizes and then condenses back into itself.) -
CW: Magic wand. Image has sexual reference.
I had a trance a couple days ago on the early am during the full moon.
I'm an Alchemist so I was surprised that the goddess #Hathor gave me detailed instructions ad to how to construct a wand. I currently neither have nor use a wand. I was given the design, materials and construction method. I was not informed of its purpose or use.
I have a lot going on right now, but I guess the next project is queued up. -
When I do divination work with the goddess I feel like a mystic.
When I seal a soul into a crystal under her guidance I feel like a magician. But they are both Alchemy. -
How does The Absolute, or the One, fit into the Alchemical schema? I woke up at 4 am asking myself this question. Here is the goddess' answer from my meditation:
Alchemy can be said to mean transformation. The Absolute, or in Kemetic terms, Kheper the new rising sun, is the opposite principle. It is the self-created and unchanging. But it is also more. It is a “push” towards transformation.
Where does this push come from? And how is it and the static aspect of Kheper symbolized in the alchemical process?
For a transformation to be conceived there must be an unchanging base for it to stand upon otherwise it can't be distinguished as a change. It would then be flux within flux and therefore invisible and unknowable.
The Absolute then is the necessary background condition of transformation. The symbol for this necessary condition in Alchemy is the retort or crucible.
The container is the Condition under which the transformation takes place. It is the unchanging venue where the dynamic action unfolds.
The retort is often stylized as a globe, skull or other “roundness” (like the Kheper beetle) to emphasize the static unchanging property.
As I mentioned, it is not just the enclosing necessary Condition that represents The Absolute, but Kheper's push, the impulse that precedes transformation.
The impulse is symbolized by a geometric line or angle. The dung beetle pushes his dung ball solar disc in a given direction. These lines of force combined are emblematic of abstract structure. The structure is, of course, the shape of the alchemical vessel.
So we have the shape and the containment properties of the vessel taken together as symbolizing Kheper or The Absolute.
To join the two aspects into one is the symbolic paradox of “squaring the circle”.
In my own practice the precisely angular crystal is incorporated into the cylindrical resonating chamber of my divining apparatus.
Praise #Hathor and the Eyes of Ra!
Have a great weekend!

Hathor, Min and their union in Copper mining and divinatory activities:
The mine shaft represents the vagina of the goddess and the digging chisel the phallus of the god. The seam of copper is the God’s fiery semen and turquoise/malachite is the mercurial effluvium of the Goddess- the Water of Life. Quartz is the earthly product of their copulation and represents the divinatory power of desire. The three mineral substances are analogically connected with the Alchemical elements:
Copper-Sulphur
Turquoise/Malachite- Mercury
Quartz- Salt

When discussing Sol and Luna as alchemical symbols Jung has Sol as the masculine principle and Luna as the feminine.
My transformation is opposite. I have become lunar man bathed in the desire (light/heat) of my solar goddess #Hathor . -
It was liberating just having the time to work on my main occult project for a while on Monday. It's the document of how my alchemical apparatus came to be and the revelations I got from using it the first 100 times. Praise the Eyes of Ra!

The Philosopher's Stone:
A very common symbol in Alchemy is The Philosopher’s Stone. What is it?
The (let's abbreviate) PS like many alchemical symbols has many meanings.
The most common meaning refers to the final product of the alchemical transformation. This could be the material worked upon or the alchemists themselves.
There are often magical or miraculous properties attributed to the PS. It may be a super pure gold or a medical wonder cure.
It is often used as a “seed material" added to the Prima Materia to start the next cycle of transformation.
When these attributes describe the Alchemist, the practitioner becomes noble like the gold or a healer of body and spirit. He may be the ”seed” and pass his wisdom on to others. The PS may be a reconstituted body thereby conquering death.
If the practitioner is religious the PS may be a manifestation of a god or goddess.
If this is the case the interesting angle here in contrast to most common manifestations is that the actualized Spirit or Deity is produced from the Material (or Person) being worked on and is not drawn from any supernatural realm. The Spirit is considered as released from the material world. This attitude can create a feeling of relation or equality between the Material and Spiritual planes of existence.
Some images related to the PS are:
The Squared Circle, Cross, Adam (abstract human), Gold, Grail, Red (color), Gem, Resurrection, King's Son, Fruit, Stone, Child, Treasure
The Squared Circle figure- I see the triangle as “ relation" the square as “solidity" and the circle as “infinity". The symbol then is infinity contained in the material.

Ask me about:
1. Alchemy
2. Ukulele
3. 19th Century Positivism
4. Gluten Free
5. Crystal Symmetry -
Of course, Hermetically speaking, crystals also fascinate by their dynamic properties. Energies in contact with Crystal structures are changed in accordance with the angles of the constituent atomic planes. A ray of light entering the stone does not remain the same. The same goes for a human soul.
-
It is the regularity of crystal structures that make them so supportive, satisfying and comforting.
Our organic lives are fast, changing and unpredictable.
The power from crystals is partially derived from their stability and their ability to transfer some of it to us. -
What is the Prima Materia in Alchemy?
Like most other alchemical symbols there are are various interpretations of the substance, or body known as the Prima Materia.
But without dismissing the obvious based on the term “prima" I think it’s safe to say it is whatever stands at the beginning of the alchemical transformation.
Sometimes referred to as the “lead”, it is the matter in need of transformation. The raw material of the process. The starting point.
An important aspect of the symbol is the fact that, although a common and readily available substance, it is of high intrinsic value. Sometimes this high value is hidden or veiled behind a common, ugly or negative appearance as the alchemical “black sun".
Since the transformation both refers to the matter under consideration and the alchemists themselves, the prima materia is the “natural person" or “body" prior to the spiritual change that occurs during the work.
Interpreted like this we can understand the high value attributed to the prima materia because the spirit, soul and body of the alchemist are once again reunited at the completion of the work.
If there's no(body) to begin with- there's no(body) resurrected.
A partial list of symbols for Prima Materia:
body, lead, Saturn, black sun, dirt, sand, mud, dung iron, toad, king, salt, wild beast, raven, ashes, darkness, anything ubiquitous,

Alchemical transformations typically take place in a vessel of some sort. It may be a flask, bottle, crucible, cook pot or really anything. The vessel usually is round, or has some round aspect. Some are egg shaped.
A classic vessel is the retort. It is a round glass vessel with a downward pointed neck used for distillation operations.
My own vessel is a closed cylinder. The open end is the round component.
The characteristic of note when considering the vessel is its ability to keep the in-process products of the unfinished transformation from escaping before the desired changes occur.
Some of the symbols associated with the vessel are ball, globe, egg, womb, head or skull, apple, cup, lake, bowl, boat, jug or pitcher, barrel, basin, hole, can.The symbols sometimes indicating the escaped products are birds, other flying or winged creatures, angels, clouds, wind, vapors and smoke.

Crystal power is the amplification of spectral energy by directing it through the atomic crystal lattice. The outermost layers of the lattice are the crystal faces. The faces set the initial angle of the penetrating energy waves.

There's few things more delightful than a huge, clean, hard, well-formed,

@witchpunkboi They are wonderful objects! Their atomic structures are beautiful and functional forms. They have dynamic and systemic properties yet are solid matter. They are vessels of profound information. People have lived and died for them since time immemorial. And they look neat!

The following was composed from trances, inferences, improvisation and meditative study. It is a gift from #Hathor my guide and deepest desire. Praise the Eyes of Ra!
Cosmology:
Thousands of millennia after the Great Dissolution began the Universe looked very different. Gravity was no more and all matter was decomposed and its energy dissipated across the endless black. The eight remaining Universal spirits silently reigned over the infinite darkness. Nanet and her brother Nun ruled the endless waters. Keket and her brother Kek were masters of the enveloping darkness. Amanet and her brother Amun were lords of the encompassing clouds. Hehet and her brother Heh dominated the incredible expanses known as Infinity. These eight beings honored as the Infinites wandered the empty planes abandoned by time. Feeling their way, they eventually found their counterparts amongst the shadows. Nanet was bound to Kek as the Flooding Darkness. Keket shared the eternal night with Nun as the Burning Waters. Amanet shared her dominion with Heh as the Buried Infinity. Hehet was joined with Amun as the Neverending Obscurity.
Cold and silent they wandered until each pair, seeking solace in each other, simultaneously embraced in the abyss of night. With this act the eight were fused in a flash of forgotten light into Kheper the uncreated one, the New Rising Sun.
Kheper is the Sun Sphere and its Motion in one. A single but dual being. It finds itself in the midst of the Heavenly Waters, inexorably moving, creating the boundaries of the horizon. The Sphere is Ra the golden, and the Motion is the Eyes of Ra- a different fabulous goddess for each degree of intensity in the ceaseless movement. These two aspects are the static and dynamic principles.
The Eyes of Ra create waves in the Heavenly Waters as they undulate. The waves in their turn ramify and become the four natural elements reborn into the universe. Set is the Fire of passion. Osiris is the Earth of acceptance. Isis is the Water of healing and Horus is the Air of intelligence. The mists finally clear and the Season of Ma’at begins as the cycle of Evolution is once again commenced to be repeated forever and ever.
Man and the divine soon find each other and thrive. The famous priest builds a monumental temple. He is deified as Thoth, master of language and wisdom.
He finds eight baby baboons in a corner of the temple and raises them as his own. A tradition carried on generation after generation. His descendants reign over mankind. Kings and queens tremble at his word.
One day, in the temple, Thoth finds no fruit to feed the baboons, now fully grown. They tear him apart and devour him. They leave the temple together, four sets of siblings bound in pairs. Their power increases each day. They give each other names and kingdoms. The temple is soon buried and forgotten. Thus begins again the season of Isfet, the Great Dissolution.

Hi Mastobuds,
I haven't posted about my Alchemical practice lately so here's an update.I'm close to a milestone. I have a few more symbolic interpretations of finished exposures from my apparatus until I reach the100th.
At that point I'll have a collection of one hundred oracles delivered by my goddess and guide #Hathor. I have to start thinking of a format for this collection. I'll probably combine the text with the mystical Violograph images into a short book for my personal use.
When this phase is complete I'll replace the worn parts on the apparatus and start experimenting with the exposure medium. I'd like to make my own instead of using "store bought".
On the other hand, if it's not broke, why fix it? I'll have to meditate on this topic and see if she chimes in. Can the esoteric knowledge get deeper? Or will she be offended by my innovation?
At the same time, I also need to make some more of Grandad's medicine. I have raw material chemicals on the shelf and I want to process all I can then dispose of the leftover reagents. But first I need to get an exhaust fan and duct to ventilate my basement lab. The stuff smells atrocious when it's cooking!

I may have some time for reading here and there over the next few days. I've started my science book on crystal structure 3 or 4 times so I think I'll make it 5. I just need to not get discouraged because I can't "do the math". I need to read those equations like an Alchemist. It's what I've been training for. I need to look through the numerical symbols and into the substance. I need to feel the unmediated relations themselves.
