Note: blue has had problems with bot accounts. Bots can grant codes, which spawn more bots, in a chain reaction. Similarly with bigots and accounts that spew hate speech. The devs can nuke the whole invite chain β including your account! Be careful!

Please don't post invite codes for blue publicly!
Send via DM or some other secure channel instead.
There are bots and bad actors scraping public posts for codes!
Be careful with how, and to whom, you provide codes and help prevent blue turning into a hellsite!

Could the crossposting app/script developers please add a mandatory β#crosspostedβ hashtag or something? ππ»π

Ruminations on actually existing psychedelic experiences, from a religion scholar who has also worked in environmental consulting.

CW: Fitness influencers and pornography
It's counterintuitive that when the Internet got going, there was a panic about how ubiquitous pornography would affect its usersβbut now a good chunk of my online pixel count is websites that believe I'll be interested in what this man has to say.

CW: Reflections from Hugh Rundle on the impact of the post-Musk Twitter exodus to the Fediverse β¦
"Isn't "going viral" and getting big follower counts what it's all about? β¦ I finally realised on Monday that the word I was looking for was "traumatic" β¦"
A meditative read from @hugh on what it's been like for longer term #fediverse users (and instance admins) to fall under the algorithmically conditioned gaze of post-Musk Twitter's exodus.
-
"We should know when users leave their house, their commute to work, and everywhere they go throughout the day β¦" a thread on the kinds of pitches tossed around at the sales level of social media platforms.

The pandemic appears to be withering away, just like the state under communism.
(This would work better in Klingon, but we lack the requisite vocabulary.)
