  1. 2/2. This.

I about wet myself. Their crib. “Can I really give them a pair of threes?”

Starter was 7♣️. So. Not the highest possible hand. But. Wow.

Final total? I’m barely 12 pts ahead. In the stink hole won on a go.

  2. 1/2 My first hand. The lead peg has gone the whole 30, skipping first street.

6 points in play, 16 pt hand, 8 pt crib.

(Partner likes going down the port side track and up the starboard side. Pegs start in the stern. Forward to the right in this picture.)

    It gets better…

  3. How much do you hate these cards when it’s opponent’s crib?

  4. Who knew you might see all those 6’s and a 9? Nice.

  5. One ugly situation. Opponent’s crib. What do I give them?

  6. How often do you see this? Almost the same hands.

Also. We say “The 10’s are fully represented.” Seeing all four of a rank in a cribbage deal seems like a rarity.

  7. Opponent’s opening hand. Ouch! Yes. They won handily.

  8. Saw the 555J deal and did not hyperventilate much. (Covered it with a fake coughing fit.)

Sad I didn’t get the required 5❤️. But. Did leave the opponent in the lurch.

  9. Wow! Thats a pile of points. I did not leave them in the lurch, though. Opponent had first count picked up a 16 point hand and rounded onto 4th street.

  10. Not high-scoring. But kind of funny to have dueling double pairs.

  11. Blanche and Christopher are practicing for tonight’s tournament.

It’s a lot more work to keep the game on the table in sync with their actual game, but Blanche says it’s worth it because it’s fun. We agree.

  12. A crib. Lotta points by surprise.

  13. Yes. Two of the same hands. Weird, right? Did anyone shuffle?

  14. Opponent had this. I almost had a heart attack.

(The three fives and a jack is soooo close to the largest possible gabs.)

  15. What to discard? To flush or not to flush, that is the question.

    (Opponent’s crib.)

  16. Don’t see this too often. Not a great score. But. Remarkable.

  17. No picture. But.

Missed dropping a double skunking on the opponent. Missed by one point. I could only get to the stink hole. They rounded on to third street, cackling with glee.

It was a big skunking: 55 point difference.

Gloat on their side: even though I mugginsed two points from them, I still couldn’t close out a double skunking.

  18. Don’t see this very often. Not a HUGE score, but it’s cool.

  19. .

My crib. What do I do? Give myself the pair on tens and hope for some 10-point starter? Or give myself a pair of aces?

  20. A little more on this topic.

I think that will do for introductory material.

  21. Some notes I started gathering. As if there aren't dozens of sites with cribbage information. Mine (at least) is ad-free.

  22. Not “huge”. But. This was the opponent’s crib.

I was barely onto fourth street to avoid being left in the lurch.

An earlier hand had two flushes of clubs with a club starter. Dealer and opponent. The other suits were on vacation, I guess.

  23. A few nights ago, opponent had something like this. Tonight I got a great hand and pulled out a victory.

  24. Opponent pulled way out in front with this. Killer hand.
