Eyeing up my old blue plastic kiddie pool to possibly repurpose into a perpetual moist garden bed - only for watercress. I could grow so much watercress out of a kiddie pool. If it's set up well & slightly protected in Winter - I could potentially have a year round watercress crop to harvest from, as needed for eating.

My family really loves eating watercress. We use it raw & cooked. My fave is a traditional watercress & pork soup - classic cultural soup that I've loved since childhood. Mom & Aunties used to go harvest them from the wilds & from ditches here. You can buy it from most grocery/Asian food markets. It's easier & more frugal to grow our own & harvest from backyard.
