世界衛生組織日前宣佈啟動針對冠狀病毒的新網絡 CoViNet，其目的是促進和協調全球對 SARS-CoV-2、MERS-CoV 以及新型冠狀病毒的早期和準確檢測，還有監測和評估的專業知識和能力。它是一個擁有人類、動物和環境冠狀病毒監測專業知識的全球實驗室網絡，目前包括 21 個國家的 36 個實驗室，覆蓋所有 6 個世衛組織地區。

The @WHO has appointed the Institute of Virology at #CharitéBerlin as a member of the new WHO #Coronavirus Network (CoViNet). The network of reference laboratories aims to detect and monitor #SARSCoV2, #MERS and other viruses at an early stage to support the development of #WHO public health strategies. The Institute is one of 33 laboratories worldwide to contribute their expertise.
