Question, but is being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community so unappealing that artists feel a need to portray themselves as heterosexual when doing covers? When did we collectively decide as a society that we were just going to all change the gender in songs that had gender even mentioned to make ourselves look... straighter? I'm confused. I know I did this, partly because I was in denial, partly because I didn't want questions and partly because I thought it's what I had to do, but I'm to a point now where I just... hate it.
