Flourishing, a term coined by Corey Keyes, is the presence of mental wellbeing. It's the opposite of #languishing and a key part of complete or positive mental health. Flourishing consists of psychological, emotional and social wellbeing.

As a society, we tend to talk about mental health as if it's merely the absence of mental illness. Research shows that this is NOT the case. In fact, the dual continua model of mental health by Prof Corey Keyes suggests that in order to be COMPLETELY mentally healthy, we need both the absence of mental illness AND the presence of mental wellbeing (aka flourishing).
