I talked with Prusa support after checking that there were no loose wires on the love board or anything else questionable going on. The guy who answered was instantly familiar with the issue. Apparently they have a faulty set of fan RPM tolerance values in the firmware and it fluctuates enough during normal operation that it'll throw an error at some point on materials that have very low power setting for the print cooling fan.
It'll be fixed in a future firmware release, until then I'll just bump the fan to a tad higher setting.

Good things:
+ works out of the box and creates nice results
+ PrusaConnect is super handy, just pushing new prints to the queue
+ webcam live stream is nice with VPNNeutral:
* does not play well with APC SmartUPS: The selftest of the APC UPS leads to a short power interruption after power on, which leads to a printer restart and "power supply out of spec" errorThings I did not expect at that price point:
- card board boxes with instructions are rotated, leading to upside down instructions from one layer to the next
- Pursa Connect Android App does not work for me, shows no printers (but the web version works)
- filtration unit holes to mount fan are not aligned, had to drill them bigger by 1mm
- included USB stick leads to freezes and crashes of the printer, random old 8GB stick one works flawless
- high flow nozzle clogged after approx 15hrs/1kg of included PLAWould still buy again. Just my random thoughts after a few days of using it.

After Prusa moving out of open source hardware, they are now taking two extra steps forward:
1. The Core One L will not be provided as a kit anymore
