Grow something edible of your own, no matter how much space or experience you have! Every move forward at a breakneck pace into climate chaos, I'm certain this is a skill that more of us, especially leftists, need to cultivate (pun quite possibly intended).
Also, even if you don't have a good amount of south-facing sunlight, LED lights sufficient to grow edible plants are available at relatively low cost these days. We just a little bit of ingenuity we can begin to build the systems we need to sustain us and our communities.
