It reminds me of a metaphor I've used sometimes in connection with community organising: "on-ramps". The sustainability of a project (or field) depends in part on new people being able to come along and find a way in.

Told my students about tracker blocking extensions and data safety. Minimal care. Told them the same extension can also stop YT and other ads. Instant questions and requesta to help to install. So many had no idea what extensions are. Also taught 6 basic keyboard shortcuts. Kids are exposed to texh but do not know how to use it. #Teaching #ComputerSkills

Accepting #volunteers to our school project creates friendships and gives exposure of our #students to experience and learn new things.
Our first volunteer this year is Chandipan , an #Indian youth from #calcutta in India

He is teaching some topics in #English , #science and #computerskills
