  1. A Decaf hack!

I've switched to decaf for blood pressure and health reasons, but it always lacked the sour and bitter notes I like in coffee.

Today I brewed my decaf with a little bit of brewed cacao. I find brewed cacao on its own to be too bitter and too one-note, but mixed in with the decaf, it brings in just the right complexity and makes a genuinely good cup!

It's not pure coffee and it's slightly higher caffeine than decaf, but it's far less than coffee would be, and I really like it!

I am using Crio Bru for the cacao but there might be other brands as well.

"These improvements to coffee extraction could have massive economic implications for the coffee industry, which is worth $343.2 billion or 1.5% of the US gross domestic product.”

The aim is to moisten my coffee beans without getting mold growing. So a few days supply in the fridge.
