Must say watching the Monte Carlo Historical Rally 2023... Either South European drivers are not used to snow, at all (it's very snowy) or it is mostly for show.
Scandinavian Historical Rally is pedal to the floor, which yes sometimes results in say a 1978 Porsche 911 doing cartwheels and losing a door, but it is so much more fun to watch.

It doesn't look like a racer, but it outpaces anything from the same era.
Also you have to be hella #gutsy to drive it fast. No rollcage, and surrounded by plain glass that will cut you to pieces if you flip or crash.
