Dit kun je verwachten. Op 26 en 27 november 2026 organiseren we samen met partners in het netwerk de tweede editie van Van gisteren, voor morgen. Het centrale thema: Wie schrijft geschiedenis?

👉 Dag 1: Conferentie in Het Munthuys, Utrecht
👉 Dag 2: Landelijke stagedag door het hele Koninkrijk

Geschiedenis is van ons allemaal. Niet alleen van historici of instellingen. Iedereen schrijft mee, op Wikipedia, sociale media en eigen websites. Maar in een wereld vol fake news en AI-hallucinaties dreigen verhalen soms weg te vallen.

Tijdens de conferentie op 26 november slaan erfgoed en onderzoek de handen ineen. Samen ga je aan de slag met het toegankelijk maken, onderzoeken en beleven van een gedeelde en gelaagde geschiedenis. Verrassende combinaties van partners uit het netwerk brengen de deelsessies tot leven. Samen met het Dutch Caribbean Digital Heritage Network, HAICu en CLARIAH stellen we het programma op.

Je ontmoet onderzoekers, vrijwilligers, conservatoren, docenten, studenten, beleidsmedewerkers en financiers en andere collega's die werken aan historische bronnen en geschiedenis in het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden.

Het programma voor de landelijke stagedag door het hele Koninkrijk volgt.

I released new versions of my tooling around STAM (Standoff Text Annotation Model), a data model for working with (radical) stand-off annotation on text, with a practical set of tooling (Rust library, Python library, CLI tools) for working with such data. New is a tool to convert XML like TEI to plain text and stand-off annotation, which effectively 'untangles' a raw text and its annotations. Also new is improved HTML visualisation. I'd like to announce the new major release of STAM: Stand-off Text Annotation Model. This is a standalone data model for annotation on text. It comes with various low-level tooling such as libraries for #rust, #python and various command-line tools. STAM is a simple but powerful data model for Stand-off Annotations on Text and comes with Rust and Python libraries that implement all kinds of low-level logic you might need when working with such data, independent of annotation paradigm, vocabulary, etc...

Great news to start the week! The collaboration of #ODISSEI and #CLARIAH and 15 national partners has been awarded a #NWO Large-scale Research Infrastructure Grant of €15.2 million to build digital infrastructure for the social sciences and humanities. I am thrilled to be part of this!
