The #Vatican is on vacation, so another week with no #Manuscripts. I've taken time to prototype the new website. Now every MS has a page, with details and embedded #IIIF viewer, eg. https://www.wiglaf.org/vatican/mss/Ott.lat/Ott.lat.3069.html
Still working on a new search engine

We’re excited to partner with @oldinsurancemaps #MapReader #Allmaps to build a new pipeline for extracting information from #OldMaps and preparing them for OpenHistoricalMap via #IIIF and @MapRoulette. Thanks to @nlnet for recognizing the potential in this big idea!

Triiiceratops is inching ever close to its 1.0 release. I think the API and plugin SDK has stabilized. As of the past few weeks, it includes first class support for React, Vue, Svelte, and any HTML.
Even plugins can be authored in any framework, with 1st party adapters for React, Vue, Svelte, and Vanilla JS/TS.

Assets management for studios that ships digital art
https://artist-alley.org - https://artist-alley.org/docs/whitepaper/I haven't quite understood the needs, and why they differs from a DAM (optimized for archivists?).
It is worth investigating: #IIIF support (it's available) and ArchivePub protocol https://artist-alley.org/docs/archivepub/ -

Whatiiif error logs showed high demand for Harvard URL support. I obliged! Harvard Digital Collections manifests now load automatically. Also fixed: CONTENTdm 'view at institution' now reconstructs the correct item page even from a bare manifest URL. Check it out:

Hi #glammr! I'm an MLIS with a background in digital preservation and IT, based in Normal, IL. I recently built https://whatiiif.com, a free tool for generating shareable deep links to highlighted regions of IIIF manifests. It's one MIT-licensed HTML file with no backend and no cache.
Excited to connect with the community. #IIIF #GLAM #Libraries #Openaccess -

Yale Library: Library joins partners to support deep research into digitized maps in collections worldwide. “Yale Library and the IIIF Consortium (International Image Interoperability Framework) have partnered with Allmaps, an open-source ecosystem that provides tools to turn static digitized images into interactive maps. Multispectral imaging has restored the Cotton Genesis - and our @universalviewer team has applied IIIF-based functionality to enable switching between the visible light, ultraviolet and infrared images of a single folio in the same canvas. Very exciting!

After Wolpi¹, another new #IIIF server released, iiiris², in Go, libvips backed.
Notable feature: iiiris generate presentation manifests³ too, based on layout⁴ of source images directory and a minimal yaml.Gonna try them both.

Ten years ago I walked into my first IIIF event, slightly bewildered, in The Hague. This month I was back in the Netherlands for the 2026 IIIF Conference which also happens to mark my first decade in this community.
I've written up the highlights and a few reflections from the week:

Great design document and a solid example of how institutions should approach interoperability and dialogue. Too often in GLAM, the focus stops at technical implementation rather than the conversation around it (ehm cough 🇮🇹) #IIIF

Before my morning coffee, I created a service that generates IIIF manifest (either v2.1 or v3) by basically doing a SPARQL construct on RDF for the RAZU newspaper collection.
