Today I learned about sailor.sh, which sets up a realistic #kubernetes exam environment locally, supporting #CKA, #CKAD and #CKS like exams. I'll soon be testing it, but from what I've seen and heard it works really well, neat!

Certified #Kubernetes Application Developer (#CKAD) exam booked 🤞

Woo. Passed the #CKA exam. #k8s
Now I need to book the #CKAD exam.

I took the #CKAD exam today. I think it went well.

I was worried about the #PSI exam system, trying it on the latest #fedora release, while officially Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04 are the only supported Linux flavors. But thankfully it worked out without any technical issues!

Also even though I haven't tried it yet the #CKAD exam style: having you do exercises in a linux terminal on actual kubernetes clusters, seems like a much better way to test technical knowledge compared to e.g. the Microsoft Azure certification exams that are all multiple choice questions requiring you to remember things you usually check with `--help` or consult the docs.

Just completed the LFD459 course, Kubernetes for app developers by the Linux foundation, 3 days in-person in Oslo.

I really liked it! Although I've been using Kubernetes in my project for a couple of years now there were still things to learn.
