Someone on masto’s gotta know: what was the #christopherBrookmyre book that had the oblique reference to Duke Nukem Forever in it? It wasn’t Bedlam, which has lots of mentions of Duke Nukem in it.
It was something to do with a number of objects in a room, some of which where imaginary, and one was a boxed copy of Duke Nukem Forever which, when the book was published, hadn’t actually been released (and was still considered vaporware #DNF).
