If you were using file.garden links in your #CBTS bot, please go ahead and re-set your preferred posting frequency and save your changes. The issue was resolved by the domain owners earlier this week.

It looks like there is an issue with file.garden, one of the sites I've recommended to #CBTS users for image hosting in the somewhat recent past.

Per their Blue Sky post (https://bsky.app/profile/filegarden.com/post/3li2t6ljobs2x), GoDaddy has terminated their .garden TLD registration and they are at filegarden.com for now, but direct links are not working.

Looking for a bot-friendly instance to migrate @cooljeaniusbot to, now that BIS is in read-only mode. My bot is a #CBTS bot that posts randomly-generated political positions/ideas/statements that roughly correspond to my own. Any suggestions?

MythBot has been migrated over to @mythologybot with botsin.space having its retirement.
All #CBTS bots that have botsin.space as their instance will have their post frequency changed to 0 (Never Post) programmatically on Saturday.

I don't know precisely what this means for #CBTS. Its existence isn't contingent on any single instance, but that was the recommended default so give me some time to figure that out.

Did a little bit of tinkering with @blackjoy the other day, a little link fixing and adding a few new pics. Haven't yet found the time to transfer it from #CBTS to self-hosting due to being crazy busy, although that is still on the table. #bots

Now the question is: Is it finally time to move @blackjoy off #CBTS, give it a more functional and flexible codebase, and run it on my own box? 🤔 (And do I have enough time and energy to do it before I get distracted by IRL again?) #bots

my immediate sense is this is related to architecture changes at imgur specifically but I haven't done enough digging to confirm that yet. #cbts

I've been made aware of a high volume of bots trying to post with images and failing. This is a "422 (Unprocessable Entity)" code on the backend, and I haven't changed anything in weeks.

Will look into this, but probably not this week as I have other priorities right now.

Yeah of course #CBTS server would go into a degraded state the same day I was already losing my mind over dayjob stuff. Should be back up.

As the roster of active #CBTS bots has grown, we were running into some traffic jams with periodicity overlap.

There's work to be done on actually parallelizing but for now I just throttled some very common bottleneck causers and will hope for the best.

@boodoo Hello! I'd like to use #CBTS to run a bot account that posts images with alt text, but I can't get it to work. My coding knowledge extends just far enough to do basic formatting for an AO3 fic, so I'm sure I've just missed something obvious.

I managed to get it to stop telling me I had syntax errors by going through some of the tutorials, but when I tried to post a test toot, it didn't add the image. Do you have any guidance? Here is the code I used:

Added a few more questions to @pollbot - about time I guess. It's also about time to add new photos to @blackjoy, although I had already mentioned I was considering porting it over to python and self-hosting it, seeing as #CBTS can only go so far to allow you to customize content. #bots

I am not coming up with an elegant solution for visualizing focal points in the #CBTS frontend tonight, but I have poked at it enough that I'm confident Tomorrow Me will have some stroke of genius.

Pushing some #CBTS changes to production. I still do not have test plans. It'll probably be fine dwbi.

I have no idea why #CBTS frontend isn't working right now. Sorry!

#CBTS was down since early this morning for boring system upgrade reasons but should be back to its regular schedule now. I'll probably break something again soon to add support for image focus points, fair warning.
