At the last minute for #C64month! The latest issue of #Freeze64.

The first time I played Spy vs Spy on my #c64 as a kid, I was utterly confused since I did not know the comic and had no idea what it was all about.

It seems the Mastodon instance I'm on couldn't handle the size of the video clip I was sending earlier. So here's a shorter one for #c64month of the Pi1541 datasette emulator loading Run Demon Run.😀

(and with it I've found the first TAP file that my datasette emulator can't handle .. spy vs spy 2 never reaches the loading bitmap for some reason..)

So continuing #c64month I've now implemented a bunch of new features in my Pi1541 datasette support. Including IDX file support and a basically VICE compatible tape counter with ffwd/rewind support.

So today is twice as much #c64month as usual.

and right now.. currently improving the Pi1541 cassette port adapter support I wrote 5 years ago #c64month .

To conclude the mystery cart part of #c64month I bought a couple of 2864 EEPROMs, burnt a copy of Simon's BASIC onto them and thereby fixed the cartridge.

A really odd detail is that the cartridge does not work in a #C64 Reloaded MK1 but works perfectly well in a real C64C.

Somewhere in the middle of #c64month I bought myself a mystery cartridge containing two 2764 EPROMs and nobody knew what the cartridge was for.

I ripped the EPROMs and they turned out to contain a very corrupt copy of Simons BASIC.

Next up during this #c64month ! After so many years I finally received my new keycaps from the indiegogo campaign.

White #C64 with black keys and blue semitransparent function keys. I'm very happy with how these turned out!

So I've forgotten to post what I've been up to this #C64month . I started of with having a go at improving my Mode 7 algorithm.. I've got a couple of ideas but nothing that will improve it as much as I want to.. yet..
