I think the reason that Directors have been much more pro-ai (generally speaking) than other creatives comes from the fact that as far as they can tell, nothing's changed. They tell someone/thing what they want, and it comes back not quite how they wanted it. If they had little-to-no respect for their underlings before, no wonder they aren't against AI. Unsurprising then, that the more hands on, in-camera directors are more Anti-AI, in comparison.
