CW: Today... 2026 July 12 ... Hot hot hot...
Not really that hot, just I got really hot because I kind of screwed up the eating outside thing, and we don't have a patio umbrella, so while it was relatively cool out, it was at the time (about 2 hours) that the deck doesn't get shade.
There's time in the morning as well.
But I wrote some days ago (I'm not entire oh yesterday) about trying #Zettlekasten, or some sort of knowledge or reading, or whatever system. @[email protected] sent a post from a couple of years ago (18 months? almost 20 months).
I've not read it, but the thing that I kind of felt with what I was just "feeling" about it, is I need to just do something. The getting started is probably a big part. This is what most of what I've seen has said. It's more specific than I'm comfortable with. But then, so was #BulletJournal #BuJo, and I found my way way to that working out.

El Comic/Diario
De unos años para aca he estado usando una variante del método del Bullet Journal para llevar un diario, en lugar de llenar la libreta de listas y listas lo que hago es hacer un cómic por día.
Esto suena que va en contra de todo el punto del Bullet Journal que se basa en la idea de hacer las listas de las cosas por hacer e ideas en forma rápida y eficiente, pero que puedo decir, esto del comic me da una razón para dibujar todos los dias.
¿Como se hace?
La primera parte es tener un archivo de texto en alguna aplicación de notas el cual hará el trabajo usual del bullet journal, tener la lista de cosas por hacer en un formato rapido de editar, algo así.
La lista se maneja como es usual en el Bullet Journal, escribe las cosas que hacer cada día, las marca según las realice o migra mas adelante en el mes según requiera.
Y ya que tenga el día completo, procedemos al cómic, mi recomendación es que lo mantenga simple, ponga la fecha en algún lado, use una regla para hacer un panel para cada elemento de la lista que halla hecho ese día y dibuje.
¿Como llenar los paneles?, eso lo decide usted, use una caricatura de usted mismo, un personaje que lo represente, o solo figuras hechas con lineas, elija un estilo que sea fácil de dibujar, el punto es dibujar diario, lo mismo en que tan realista quiera ser con como fueron las cosas, ya es un cómic, siéntase libre de exagerar ya sea por comedia o énfasis.
Y si se pregunta si la rutina se volverá repetitiva, después de todo cosas como comprar el mandado, lavar la ropa son cosas que ocurren seguido y aparecerán en su diario seguido, mi recomendación es que se lo tome como un reto, después de todo si Charles M. Schulz pudo mantener fresca la broma de Charlie Brown y el balón de futbol seguro se le puede ocurrir como darle variedad a la visita al supermercado.
Un tip que puedo darle es no preocuparse por hacer el arte completamente en limpio, el comic que puse como ejemplo es uno que limpie para que fuera lo mas legible posible, lo mas usual es que en mi libreta se vean así.
Mas toscas, en boceto no del todo en limpio, lo importante es que halla dibujado el día, si lo que paso es lo suficientemente memorable siempre puede volver para limpiar o colorear la pagina.
Otro tip es no preocuparse si no puede dibujar diario y no deje que un montón de días sin dibujar lo desanime, se lo digo por experiencia, pude sacar 2 semanas de comics en 2 días, con la practica llega la velocidad ;).
¿Y que consigue después de todo ese esfuerzo?, bueno tendrá un recuerdo mas visual de que ha hecho ese año, un montón de practica dibujando e improvisando tramas y capaz alguna historia que valga la pena expandir a un comic completo.
¿Suena como una buena idea?, ¿Por que no lo intenta?, yo planeo seguir haciéndolo 😀

Very curious looking at bullet journal stuff. Sorry, but I have more entries in a day than these people have in a week. I don't think your "I'm a busy youtuber" compares to a teacher who is both managing curricula and pastoral care, and administrative duties, etc. I need 4x the pages you've allowed for a week, and that's assuming an easy week! #education #teaching #bulletjournal

Just finished throwing them into sticky notes in Freeform on my computer to help me organize thoughts and topics.
Writing the presentation and putting together the Keynote slides has usually been time consuming but easy. But I’ll still probably agonize over the introduction.

I keep hearing of "everyday notebook" recently and it grates me. The idea itself is neat, but it annoys me how it's framed as "Bullet Journal without the artsy part".
But the original Bullet Journal idea was already minimalistic and simple!
It's not BuJo's fault that it got so distorted by social media influencers that it lost its original meaning and functionality.

But probably the proudest workflow I found for myself using #bulletjournal (aka #bujo) and my #dicebaby game is by labeling my todo list in a simple .txt file and using #Nano syntax highlighting to organize importance.
Not perfect by any means…but grabbing all the good #ADHD qualities from The Bullet Journal, as mentioned by author Ryder Carroll but searchable and easy to transport, as argued by Derek Sivers (ref: https://sive.rs/plaintext).
Plus you won’t have to opt-in to those expensive up sell dead tree bullet journals taking up shelf space.

Tilasin alesta Leuchtturm1917 -muistikirjoja, runohommiin pehmeäkantiset parhaita kun kannen saa käännettyä alle, mutta tuli sitten tilattua myös yksi kovakantinen ja pähkin nyt käyttöä sille. Bullet journal -hommeleita mietin mutta ei oikein ole tarvetta ja siihen olisi jo toinen kirjanen käytettävissä. Päiväkirjan kirjoittaminen kutkuttelisi, mutta tuntuu jotenkin nykyään kankealta.
