I just found out that you can now transfer your fed.brid.gy accounts to another PDS or instance, for ATmosphere and Fediverse respectively.

I haven't tried it myself. Anyone who did yet? I assume you no longer have to use `.brid.gy` after?

The irony is that @EUCommission runs a Mastodon server and could easily bridge the accounts on it to ATproto/Bluesky with help of #Bridgy

Ich habe keine Zeit - und Lust - dafür, mich auch noch um #Bluesky zu kümmern. Deshalb habe ich jetzt das #ATmosphere Plugin im #Blog aktiv, an dem der @pfefferle mit gebastelt hat. Funktioniert wie ein Träumchen. Und irgendwann werde ich auch noch #Bridgy los.

I have been thinking about opting out of #bridgy again and posting more often on my native Bluesky account instead. That would allow for a better #FediverseFirst experience, because I can choose what and when to post on #Bluesky. And this announcement is a good opportunity to actually do that.

A good explanation of #activitypub and #ATproto and explains how each is solving very different problems and why bridging them isn't connecting two similar networks.

so, i've decided to stop bridging with bridgy, but keep crossposting with openvibe. also, considering switching to microblog, so i can have my own domain there as well. we'll see.
