Just going to put this out there: People dismiss #grapheneos for the supposed "drama" due to their willingness to call out snake oil fake security products and services, as well as alternatives that do things insecurely either due to incompetence or laziness.

The fact is that the Graphene team puts it all out there. All their code, all their funding, all their process, everyone can examine it. Furthermore they contribute security and bug fixes upstream, everyone's device even stock Android devices benefit from the work they do. Virtually every security professional I've worked with considers GrapheneOS to be the only legit securable mobile device.

Meanwhile there are a lot of hucksters out there willing to sell people the illusion of security, and their work is rarely actually visible, and their impact on the broader ecosystem is entirely missing. If the person making the claims is not showing their work they are lying to you, full stop.
