New work laptop on the way. Hopefully it will handle 6k #BRAW a bit better. 1 fps rendering speed is a pain.

Trying to figure out why encoding speed is so damn slow, but yeah, 6k #BRAW prosessing on this laptop is sloooooooow. Optimized media helps, a lot, but uses a ridiculous amout of disk for any kind of decent quality. Using #prores 422 help even more. I don't really need 6k, but for some existing projects not much I can do. #DaVinciResolve

I added support of #braw files to #spacedrive app. If someone would be interested i can share on #github. #rust #osx

I have discovered today #spacedrive application, with a feature of making index external SSD/HDD drives. It works super fine, however it does not support #braw files. Trying now to add support by myself.

It's bugged me for awhile that when working with Blackmagic RAW on Linux you wouldn't get thumbnails...

Went on a bit of a tangent today and boom, turns out it's not that difficult to implement - at least in nemo and nautilus, dolphin isn't playing nice yet.

#BRAW is nice and all, but when your system disk is 512GB, free space is 70GB and the video is 400GB you are pretty much fucked.

Editing and playback is fine. Rendering on the other hand goes 4fps. Wonder why. #davinciresolve #blackmagicdesign #braw

Testing out the new external #BRAW feature on my Panasonic #GH6. It’s nice to now be able to use Resolve’s highlight recovery feature to squeeze out some details in blown highlights. It’s also nice that you can shoot full open gate in raw. #cinematography
