During one of today's hacking session at Boiling the Ocean, we noticed how unreasonably large the install size of the Reflection app is. Turns out we forgot to build it in release mode.. Ups he he 🙈

And because we got sidetracked by another issue the patch stayed in my `/tmp` and then I turned the laptop off.. Ups again 😅

So anyway, I ended up redoing the patch while waiting for my (delayed) train back home at the Berlin main station :)

Joined #BoilingTheOcean a bit today, for discussing #NFC and portal APIs (and a small sidetrack on ICAO Doc 9303). Broad agreement on what we want between #GNOME and #KDE, still some research to do on how we best get that from the two and a half or so user space NFC daemons there are.

First successful experimental local-first sync integration in the new Era calendar app at #BoilingTheOcean in Lyon!

Using #p2panda, and the new integrated p2panda Node API. Still a long way to go for this (e.g. there's no persistence yet), but very exciting nonetheless!

It's funny that "boiling the ocean" is our term for a nearly impossible task, when the ocean is steaming off all the time in huge volumes all on its own.
