When it actually comes down to it, picking something out today for #TuneTuesday with a #bigrockending is proving harder than I thought it would. So I'm going route one with 'The Chain' by Fleetwood Mac. They don't come bigger than this. (I also want to put in an honourable mention for 'The Path' by H.I.M.)

This week's #TuneTuesday theme is #BigRockEnding, songs that end with a big climax.
Conevntum was one of a wave of really great #progrock bands from 1970s #Québec (where prog was huge). "La ronde" (À l'affut d'un complot, 1977) is a fantastic mashup of chamber music and acoustic, instrumental prog that unexpectedly mutates into a trad dance tune near the end.

#TuneTuesday is a thing, and I'm here for it! And it has a theme, #BigRockEnding. My tune is NOT a rock song (although I like those, too!), but a #shapenote song from the #SacredHarp. It's called "Claremont", on page 245. Here, it is sung by about 200-300 people, at one of the largest annual singing conventions, in Western Massachusetts.
The ending coda deserves to be called a #BigRockEnding! It's one of the longest songs in the book, and usually sung "words only".

It's not so much a big ending, more of a big second half .. but I think it still counts!

Hello #TuneTuesday and the #BigRockEnding from @satsuma and @Kitty at the control panel.
I'm going to strap on my heels and twirl for Prince and Purple Rain. It's not the crashing "everything in" kind of ending, but the length and excess get my vote.
When you think the song is winding down, the Purple One has a grand, multi-part finale of wailing guitar, twinkling piano, vocals, cymbals and crowd noise, before the extended strings bring the mood back down. 💜

For this, I chose a track from Ne Obliviscaris, which is divided into three movements. Its third movement in particular, "Curator", closes with an epic, dramatic climax
