Composer Bernard Hermann considered the score for “The Ghost and Mrs. Muir” (1947) (https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkAUJkbhd-RhvLijwvhn8ZyG9Uqt4EqqA&si=how9tJ4mYX18YgSh) to be his best. Listening to #BernardHermann reminded me that I have had a lifelong, inexplicable, fascination and love of the #Mankiewicz film The Ghost and Mrs Muir with Gene Tierney and Rex Harrison, which Hermann scored. And the subsequent TV sitcom with Hope Lange and Edward Mulhare (who was hawt). I cannot explain this.
