Against Jim's better judgement, we are going to be on the beach Saturday, 6.29 at Golden Gardens, North Seattle for a -2.59 tide to do natural history interpretation. We had been part of the beach naturalist program, but are still investigating the firing of the entire program staff earlier this year. However, we said we'd come this once.

From Golden Gardens (Seattle), Salish Sea maximum low tide -2.46 feet this morning with Seattle Aquarium naturalists. Great example of visual mimicry; until we pulled algae and eel grass away, I imagined it could have been a sea star. #BeachNaturalists #invertebrates
