Bank abusing a customer: I have a guy doing some landscaping for me this week; wrote him a check for half up front. He deposited it in his bank yesterday and was told the funds would not be available for 7 days, because my bank was putting a hold on it. I called my bank today asking, basically, WTH? Turns out they've already released the funds to his bank. His bank lied to him, using my bank as the scapegoat. When he gets a chance, he will check again with his bank...
