I was with the Junkmaster when he picked this up at an auction last year
Ran good enough to get on a trailer, but has been parked since
Once he’s sold the place and moved the hoard to a new spread, this will be my first project
I can work on a #VW motor and the brakes etc are easily accessible

I like to call this game "Schrodinger's camshaft bearing." I don't know if the water was sitting just under the bearings in the crankcase or if the bearings were immersed for several years. Do I: open the engine up to visually assess, or yolo some fuel into that bad boy and see if it goes bang?

Class 11 VW Beetle racing in Mexico reminds me of rallying in Ireland when I was growing up. Close community, loads of family and friends helpnig out.
And Baja Bugs are just cool.

Saw this #BajaBug with an Echo Tec 2.2 water cooled engine swap. Looks like a good conversion job.
