🎶Baccara era un dúo español (Mayte Mateos y María Mendiola) que trabajaba como bailarinas y cantantes en un hotel de las Islas Canarias.
El productor alemán Ralf Siegel las escuchó cantar y compuso "Yes Sir, I Can Boogie" especialmente para ellas en 1977.
Fue el primer sencillo de su carrera, alcanzó el número 1 en el Reino Unido (siendo las primeras artistas españolas en lograrlo), el número 1 en varios países europeos y vendió más de 16 millones de copias en todo el mundo.
