PROTEST RALLY against Morocco's presence at the International Tourism Exchange (ITB)
White beaches, blue sea, clear skies – and less than 50 km away, human rights activists and journalists are being tortured.
For decades, the Moroccan regime has occupied large parts of Western Sahara. There, they oppress the Sahrawi population, and people disappear without charge for years in secret prisons.
Journalists are beaten up in the streets, and journalists from other countries, NGOs, members of parliament and human rights activists are denied access to the occupied territories to prevent them from reporting from there.
Nevertheless, German companies such as Lufthansa, Discover Airlines and TUI profit from flights to the occupied territories.
Cities such as Dakhla and El Aaiún are filled with tourists, while the Sahrawi population suffers under occupation.

Seit Jahrzehnten besetzt das marokkanische Regime weite Teile der Westsahara. Dort unterdrücken sie die sahrauische Bevölkerung, Menschen verschwinden ohne Anklage für Jahre in geheimen Gefängnissen.
Journalist*innen werden auf offener Straße zusammengeschlagen, Journalist*innen aus anderen Ländern, NGOs, Abgeordnete und Menschenrechtsaktivist*innen wird es verwehrt in die besetzten Gebiete zu reisen, um sie daran zu hindern von dort zu berichten.
Trotzdem profitieren deutsche Unternehmen wie Lufthansa, Discover Airlines und TUI an Flügen in die besetzten Gebiete.
Städte wie Dakhla oder El Aaiún werden mit Tourist*innen vollgeladen, während die sahrauische Bevölkerung unter der Besatzung leiden.

On March 4th we will meet at 7.30 pm to paint posters together at Café Cralle.
Feel free to bring cardboard, bed sheets or whatever else you want to paint, there will also be some on site.
You are also welcome to bring thick felt-tip pens or cool poster decorations, but please don't bring spray paint or anything else that could potentially stain.
And very important: ideas for poster slogans 😎
While painting posters, you will of course also have the opportunity to get to know fembi and network with other feminists - for example by going to the demonstration together.

Bringt gerne Pappen, Bettlaken oder was ihr sonst noch bemalen wollt mit, ein bisschen wird auch vor Ort sein.
Bringt gerne auch dicke Filzstifte oder coole Plakatdeko mit, aber bitte keine Farbe zum Sprühen oder Sonstige, die potentiell Flecken macht.
Und ganz wichtig: Ideen für Plakatsprüche 😎
Beim Plakate malen habt ihr natürlich auch die Möglichkeit, fembi kennen zu lernen und euch mit anderen Feminist*innen zu vernetzen - zum Beispiel fürs zusammen zur Demo gehen.

Many people have heard of the Zapatistas - because they are a special example in the global struggle for a dignified and free life.
The indigenous liberation movement in Chiapas, in the south of Mexico, finds solutions to the most urgent problems through community self-organization and autonomy.
For 31 years, the paths they have taken have also been well received worldwide. By asking questions, they are creating a society that is based on people's abilities and needs and treats life with the dignity it deserves.
We had the opportunity to visit the Zapatistas as part of a series of international meetings of rebellion and resistance and want to share our experiences.
We will talk about our trip, the current situation in Chiapas and the development of Zapatista autonomy.
Finally, we want to talk about how we can support the Zapatistas and what their struggle means for us here and have dinner together.
