I do think the fact they are voluntarily doing all this is in itself testimony to how much they appreciate the programme

3/3 There’s peer learning, networking and experience through placements; all students go into good and rewarding careers in community work.
I truly believe in this MA - it is what Goldsmiths is all about.
The MA is now threatened with closure - it would be terrible if we did not have this combination of anthropology with community work anymore. Please share with anyone who might like to apply

2/3 The programme has run for 30 years and I have had the privilege of teaching on it since 2011. Privilege, because of the amazing students we get on this. Some who come from youth work or arts and want qualifications and widen their thinking and practice through anthropology; some who come from social sciences and want to get into practical community work.

Hello! Just wanted to do a quick #ShoutOut here for a brilliant MA at Goldsmiths run by Anthropology and Social and Therapeutic Studies (STACS) at Goldsmiths. It is a unique programme combining theory and practice, academic with professional qualifications. There are three pathways:
MAs in Applied Anthroplogy and Community Youth Work; Community Development; and Community Arts
