Tomorrow should be interesting. I'm going in to the audiologist for an annual review of my audiogram and also APD (auditory processing disorder).
This will be helpful for my new speech therapist (SLP) that I meet the next day.
I've been kinda neglecting my APD since getting good at reading lips and closed captions, but think I can still do better to aid in comprehension in conversations with humans.

SLPs & audiologists, review how executive orders could affect you.
Families, reviewing to know how your child's care (medical and education) could be affected.

I'm just home from an appointment at the local #NHS audiology clinic.
I knew my hearing had deteriorated over the last couple of years.
I've had a single left hearing aid, but now I'm deaf(ish) in stereo!Looking at the graphs it was astonishing how poor my 'good' ear was.
The new hearing aid pair makes so much difference.
And with (limited) Bluetooth connectivity I can adjust the volumes and certain settings on the fly.
Sadly there's no BT option for streaming from my phone, so I'll continue to use the previous bodge (a BT device that connects to the phone and the T-coil on the aids)#Audiologist services are one of the unsung parts of the NHS.

“Sir, I have to inform you that your son has #ADHD.”
“What?”
“The test results are clear. Now, with the right support I’m sure that he’s going to have a fruitful life.”
“But you just told me he’s going to be one of those bloody metal bums.”
“Er… pardon?”
“Yeah, you told me he’s one of the AC/DC punks.”
“No. A… D… H… D…”
“Oh.”
“There’s an excellent #audiologist next door. Let me give you a referral.”

Rando on the Internet: "My audiologist says tinnitus doesn't affect your life."
Me: "Fire your fucking audiologist."
I think that audiologist is *probably* not even a doctor, but I've fired many a doctor for saying stupid shit like this.
Tinnitus does affect your life. Source: myself. I can ignore my tinnitus most of the time and I'm still affected by it. Some people can't ignore it, and it must be torture for them.
