Not as a replacement, of course. Just as a different format; a home carved out in a different section of the web.

Any #AudioEngineers in my network? I’m wondering about the limits of audio over networks. Say I could saturate a 1gbps link how many 48kHz 32bit channels would I be able to use?

Question for #audiobook #VoiceActors #AudioEngineers - I’m trying to record my own audiobook, and while my place is usually very quiet, sometimes there is mild traffic noise outside (or planes, sigh) or someone upstairs may walk around etc. - do you have the same issue and how do you overcome it? I have a good mic and I bought some acoustic foam but I might not be able to use it. How much background noise is an acceptable level/not audible in files?
