#thefreaksclub — Public Fediverse posts

A beautiful woman at the #powwow offered me a big hug. 🤭🤭🤭

I got to chat with another new buddy, equally beautiful. 🥰

And then some dude offered me a ride to a bus stop and we got talking. Maybe he'll sign up for #TheFreaksClub 😈

Good news everybody!

Prince Gothy needs to buy a new #monitor!

I invested in this 1080p #portablemonitor a few years ago. It's actually the best one I've ever used. It came calibrated from the factory and has all these color accuracy certifications.

When I started doing stuff for #TheFreaksClub, #webdesign + flyers for shows etc, I realized I should step it up, do things properly. If the colors are accurate then images & webpages will look the same, or close, on other people's screens.

No idea what happened when. This thing has been sitting on my amp for weeks. Maybe a cable swung into it? Maybe it tipped forward onto my keyboard?

Can't afford a new.

Handed out several dozen flyers for #TheFreaksClub tonight, #StreetTeam style. 👍🏽

Feel free to print these out and leave 'em places for us! PM me for alt versions.

Should this account be split into TFC-SW and TFC-CW? To separate the ScienceWorld & ComputerWorld communities?

I want to rename it to distance our past selves from VF and emphasize our own platform, #TheFreaksClub. (Despite mainly being active in #Dreamwidth while ramping back up.)

I think I want to get Myself some #DJ gigs later this year.

More needs to be set up with #TheFreaksClub and I want more hardware along with a larger music collection.

I think I figured it out. A way to justify having two accounts. This Flokinet Mastodon acct should focus on matters related to #TheFreaksClub while my Friendica acct, @[email protected], will be for other techy related things.

Reorganized the closet hangers. The rod broke on her side. My stuff was moved into the studio and hasn't been put away yet because it's not supposed to be my bedroom. 😛

Yes, on the shelf is a one of a kind polo shirt that says #TheFreaksClub 😎😎😎

I wrote a little piece about the 3++ R's.

• Refuse-Resist
Bring your own silver wear, thermos, to-go containers, bags, etc. Kindly suggest alts to businesses if they still use polystyrene or plastic.

• Reduce
how much you use by choosing different products.

• Repair
what you have to extend its life

• Reuse
Repurpose existing everythings

• Recycle
This isn't really a thing. 😅

Written by Elizabeth Barrette AKA ysabetwordsmith

Pan de Muertos

The bread of the dead is bittersweet,
flavored with anise and oranges,
its golden crust glazed with sugar,
almost the color of marigolds.

The round loaf represen'
the circle of life and death.

On top, extra dough shapes
the skull and crossbones,
reminding us of the death
that waits under our living skin.

To taste the bread is to weep for
what has been lost, yet hope
for what is still to come.

New post entitled "Attending Newbie Gatherings" in #TFCOHOM

It reads:
Are there movie nights, munches, or other get togethers for new people in your area? Do you ever go? What are they like?

I wrote a new post entitled "Representation In Games". As follows:

What are some of your favorite #witch / #shaman / #druid /medicine man/ #spiritual leader/etc characters in #games? Why?

If you don't have any that you personally enjoyed playing, who are some you feel well represented the roll they portrayed?

I want to create a Community on #Dreamwidth for #musicians, #soundEngineers, #audioEngineers, #producers, #guitarists, #bassists, #synth players, #drummers, and the like.

What should it be called?

It'll be affiliated with #TheFreaksClub
https://thefreaksclub.dreamwidth.org/

Think of it as being the #LiveJournal based alternative to forums like TalkBass, and @lemmystudio 😜
Not as a replacement, of course. Just as a different format; a home carved out in a different section of the web.

Slowly getting back into #TheFreaksClub headspace.
The project / Community has been on hiatus / dormant for a long time. Alas, The Community shall never die!

Head on over to our humble journal Community and post about anything you think the #darkalternative #gothic #punk #metalhead #goblincore #juggalo whatever weirdo else would be interested in! Let's create a new home just for us. Somewhere sane and rational like the good old days. lol.
