15 years ago today, my late mother gave me a GPS. The idea was to help record wildlife (map is an example from before then using friends yellow Garmin).

I contributed a bit towards the cost to get one with a map display. Since then #OpenStreetMap has been an ongoing distraction from the original purpose.

#SnailSunday has made way for #MolluscMonday. There are perhaps two weeks per year when the snails are easily visible in trees and hedges, these two here on emerging willow flowers at Attenborough Nature reserve

This shot shows sluice gates that sit between the #RiverTrent and the #AttenboroughNatureReserve gravel pit lakes. Shot in #BlackAndWhite with a #SlowShutter to create the movement blur in the water.

Every time I walk past these I wonder at the missed opportunity for #ElectricityGeneration
