If opt-out qween Denmark, a country that wiretapped its EU allies at the request of the US government (but it was a Nice American who patted them on the head for it!) can turn around and accept further EU integration and officially ditch the frugals... if Denmark can do it, anybody can.
I complain enough about 🇪🇺 #journalism on here to recognise an article that stands out from the pack, so here it is, courtesy of Gerard Howlin in The Irish Times. It's about Ireland's role in the EU, but it could be about any of the member statelets who've engaged in the same provincialism with benefits over the years, you can easily replace Ireland with any of the #AtlanticistsMuggedByReality

He sat in the Council of the EU voting EU legislation fully in line with his government's "Hansa League" stance of underfinancing the EU and keeping it as a docile vassal that bought US above all. His government signed a statement rejecting EU reform in May 2022. Good to see he's changed his mind...
