Sud America-Piemonte. Arresti in Brasile in un'operazione contro la tratta di cocaina
Con il supporto di Europol, le forze dell'ordine italiane (Raggruppamento Operativo Speciale - #ROS - Carabinieri) e brasiliane (Polícia Federal Curitiba – Grupo de Investigações Sensíveis - GISE) hanno smantellato una vasta rete di traffico di droga e riciclaggio di denaro collegata alla ‘Ndrangheta.
L’operazione, denominata EREDITÀ, ha portato all’arresto di sette persone e rappresenta il culmine di anni di indagini su traffico di cocaina su vasta scala tra Sud America e Europa.Il 16 settembre 2026, in Brasile, le autorità di São Paulo hanno condotto una serie di perquisizioni e operazioni sincronizzate, con l’appoggio di esperti di #Europol. Sono stati sequestrati 9 immobili, 2 aziende e altri beni, oltre a numerosi conti bancari congelati. Durante le operazioni, sono state arrestate otto persone di nazionalità italiana e brasiliana coinvolte nel traffico e nel riciclaggio di denaro. Gli indagati sono stati raggiunti Palhoça (Santa Catarina) e nelle città dello stato di San Paolo di San Paolo, São Caetano, Santos e Americana. Avrebbero assunto il controllo delle attività illecite in Sud America, dove da tempo volti di spicco della famiglia Assisi e della 'ndrangheta piemontese risiedono e fanno affari.
L’indagine ha portato alla luce un sistema industriale di traffico di droga, che movimentava tonnellate di cocaina dalla Brasile verso l’Europa attraverso carichi commerciali legittimi come ceramiche, legname, sanitari e alimentari. La rete sfruttava infrastrutture portuali strategiche in Brasile, mantenendo legami profondi tra Italia e Brasile tramite familiari e collaboratori.
Il gruppo criminale utilizzava piattaforme criptate e meccanismi sofisticati per il riciclaggio, con facilitatori finanziari specializzati nelle transazioni internazionali clandestine. Una parte dei profitti veniva reinvestita in nuove operazioni, perpetuando un ciclo criminale che si è evoluto nel tempo, mantenendo i legami con le reti già attive dal 2019.
Europol ha fornito analisi operative, intelligence e supporto finanziario, contribuendo a coordinare le attività tra Italia e Brasile. Un esperto di Europol è stato presente sul campo per monitorare in tempo reale le operazioni e garantire una collaborazione efficace tra le autorità.

"In our recently published Rule of Law report, Liberties’ members reported an increase in restrictions on the right to peaceful protest in all countries - from bans on individual protests to the disproportionate use of force by the police and legislative changes. A widespread trend emerged of restricted #ProPalestine protests and #EnvironmentalDefenders receiving particularly harsh penalties.
Bans on Protests
"Restrictions on various protest movements justified on public safety grounds were documented in many member states. In #Germany, the Berlin Assembly Authorities implemented a temporary blanket ban targeting pro-Palestine demonstrations. Initially, the ban targeted celebrations of the mass murder and pro-Hamas demonstrations but later extended to all pro-Palestinian protests. Similarly, in #Latvia, an unregistered #FreePalestine movement protest was banned after an assessment by the state security service that the event would, among other risks, harm the country’s international interests.
"The #Estonian police banned a protest in support of Palestinians, which was later declared unlawful by the administrative court. In #Hungary, Prime Minister #ViktorOrbán publicly prejudiced support for Palestinians by linking it with #terrorism, equating solidarity with civilians victims to threats to the public order. As the fifteen attempts to organise protests were successively banned, the government and the Prime Minister re-asserted their power by deciding what can be demonstrated for, namely, topics in line with their political interests."
